The Background
Eastbury Community School (ECS), located in London Borough of Barking & Dagenham, has students from diverse religious and cultural backgrounds. We spoke with Network Manager, Tony Gale to find out how Impero Education Pro has helped the students and staff at ECS.
The Requirements
To support the curriculum across its 1000 PCs, ECS required a reliable monitoring solution to safeguard all students.
The school wanted to improve efficiency, reduce costs and eradicate managing several different contracts by replacing multiple products with just a single solution. ECS needed a solution which had features designed for teachers but also had admin functionality for IT teams.
Our Approach
Considering these requirements, Impero Education Pro was the consolidated solution of choice for Eastbury Community School.
The Impero team began the implementation process which the Network Manager described as “easy.” The process was done remotely, with the support team taking control and installing Education Pro straight away.
‘I usually can’t stand learning a new piece of software, but this was easy!’

Since implementation, Eastbury Community School has set up the auto-syncing of keyword libraries, which are updated when new keywords are added.
The Outcome
With Education Pro in place, ECS has been able to comply with Ofsted and Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSiE) guidance thanks to the software’s online safety features.
‘We use the log viewer on a daily basis, and we track students’ activity on the network, which is captured, flagged and escalated to the relevant member of staff…It’s designed really well to make sure nothing slips through the net.’

They have also been able to reduce their carbon footprint by using the power management functionality which powers off PCs at the end of the school day.
‘The network management functionality provides remote support and the ability to power off all the machines overnight with the click of a few buttons.’

Having one consolidated solution instead of several disparate solutions and support contracts has also helped the school save money. ECS have found Education Pro efficient, effective and timesaving.
‘It does everything from one piece of software and it’s really user friendly and intuitive.’
