Impero Education Pro classroom management software: the SMART choice

30th June 2015

Impero is delighted to announce a brand new partnership with SMART Technologies Inc. Keen to support their customers in taking classroom management to the next level, SMART have selected Impero Education Pro as the recommended upgrade path for their SMART Sync™ customer base. Impero Education Pro is a classroom management software solution with additional e-safety features, network management tools and mobile device monitoring capability.

For the standard SMART Sync upgrade price, this partnership will allow SMART Sync customers to migrate to Impero Education Pro, with all its additional functionality. By trusting Impero to take care of the classroom management software, SMART will be able to focus their development efforts on collaborative learning tools like SMART Notebook® and SMART amp™.

Greg Estell, president, Education Solutions, SMART Technologies explains the reason behind the company’s decision. “In most schools around the country, computer labs are becoming a thing of the past. Students are learning on iPads, Chromebooks, SMART Boards, smartphones – whatever device is available and fits the activity. As a result, classroom management software must keep pace with this evolution and Impero is the company doing that by ensuring its solution manages any device on the network with scalability for 1:1 and BYOD environments in any size school district.”

“SMART Technologies wanted to take its customers to the next level of managing classroom technology,” says Jon Valentine, Impero CEO. “Impero Education Pro is the only solution specifically designed for K-12 schools that makes it possible to remotely view and manage PCs, Macs, iPads and Chromebooks from a single management console in real-time in a classroom, across a campus or throughout an entire school district, so it will meet the needs of every educational institution SMART serves.”

This agreement coincides with the ISTE show in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where Impero and SMART are each exhibiting. The annual show targets education technology enthusiasts across the US and provides an appropriate backdrop against which to announce this partnership. Any SMART Sync customers looking to upgrade under this new agreement should contact Impero directly for more information.
