Business Development Executive

We are looking for a capable Business Development Executive (BDE) to build up Impero’s business activities in our primary market, education.  

Responsibilities include discovering and pursuing new sales prospects, negotiating deals, and maintaining customer satisfaction. You will play an essential role in Impero meeting and surpassing business expectations and contribute to our Company’s rapid and sustainable growth. 

This role will fluctuate working between the office in Ruddington and working remotely on a Permanent Full-Time basis. 

Role Responsibilities –

Business Development – 

  • Actively seek out new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking and social media 
  • Sells products by establishing contact and developing relationships  
  • Negotiate/close deals and handle complaints or objections 
  • Maintains relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance 
  • Cultivate and build relationships within new and existing verticals at strategic level 
  • Identifying complimentary avenues to expand Impero’s footprint across education and beyond 
  • Attendance at events, exhibitions, and trade shows where relevant 
  • Set up meetings with potential clients and identifying their needs and concerns 
  • Prepare and deliver appropriate presentations on products and services 
  • Assist in the preparation of tender and bid documents 
  • Utilising BI to assist in targeting new regions in education and emerging verticals 
  • Collaborate with team members across the Company to achieve better results 
  • Gather feedback from customers or prospects and share with internal teams i.e. product and marketing 

Market and Competitor Information – 

    • Understand current sources of market and competitor information 
    • Identify sources of information on the market(s) in which Impero operates 
    • Identify sources of information on Impero’s main competitors and potential partners 
    • Create a system of regular market and competitor developments reporting to CEO, Execs and relevant staff 

Required skills / experience

  • Excellent written, communication and presentation skills 
  • Clear track record of achieving targets in a commercial and sales environment 
  • Clear commercial and entrepreneurial aptitude  
  • Ability to travel – UK and International 
  • Thorough understanding of marketing and negotiating techniques 
  • Ability to learn about products and demonstrate to clients 
  • Knowledge of educational markets (Desirable) 
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite 
  • Hands-on experience with CRM software
