ISTE 2019 – showcasing cloud series, student safety and supporting the Phillies!
Moving east from ISTE 2018, the Impero team were excited to be jet-setting off to Philadelphia – the home of the liberty bell, the infamous Rocky steps and of course, ISTE 2019!
What did Booth 800 bring to ISTE 2019?
Well, where do we start? The team delivered hundreds of demonstrations across the three days at ISTE 2019. It was great to not only understand more about the everyday struggles of teachers, technical teams and instructional staff, but also to see their faces when we showed them the simplicity of our classroom control features and our new web-based interface. The reactions and feedback we received were incredible!
We saw an increased trend amongst attendees, worrying about online dangers and looking to teach their students more about digital citizenship. We found that technical teams were comparing solutions for classroom management to make teachers lives easier, while teachers were looking for tools to help make sure their students stayed on-task in a lesson. Addressing all these issues and more was the new cloud version of Impero Education Pro, with its cross-platform technology. Yes, that’s Windows, Chrome, Mac and iOS! Multi-device schools loved seeing Impero Education Pro in action!
It was also a great opportunity to chat face-to-face with many of our loyal customers, some of which even brought us treats… we must be doing something right! It was great to put names to faces, show them all the latest developments and answer all their burning questions.
Talking to the press & giveaways
Our CEO, Richard Fuller and Senior VP of US Sales, Michael Watt were busy chatting and demoing to the media, including eSchool News, T.H.E. Journal, Education Excellence and #PasstheScopeEDU. They discussed all our latest news and product developments including; our cloud-version of Impero Education Pro, the successful uptake of our web-based solution for teachers across the U.S, student safety, digital citizenship and security.
Alongside our frog shaped English chocolate, for those of you who do know, yes, we brought over 300 Freddos (dare we say it’s better than American chocolate…?!), we had a Willy Wonka sized Cadbury Dairy Milk bar up for grabs, a tin of chocolate and two free Impero polos as part of our live scope with #PasstheScopeEDU, congrats to all of our winners!
Downtime in Philadelphia
At the end of another successful ISTE, the team were able to enjoy a final night in Philadelphia watching the Phillies take the New York Mets into extra time and win 7-5! Oh, and how could we forget, we managed to squeeze in a Philly cheesesteak or two.
