what we got up to at this year’s TCEA convention
14th February 2018
Last week, we touched down in Austin, Texas to attend the TCEA Convention at the Austin Convention Center to support our growth into the US Education market and also to prepare for the exciting opening of our new Austin office! Now we are back and fully recovered from the jetlag, we thought we’d share with you what we got up to during our week at the TCEA convention!
a catch up with our customers
The overwhelming feedback from the TCEA convention is that our customers love us! Many came over to the stand to tell us what great software we have and how well our support team looks after them, which was very nice and positive to hear. It was also evident that student safeguarding is important and we definitely noticed more conversations around this, including feedback from our customers on how the software has helped to support major safeguarding issues like bullying and self-harming and, in particular, potential suicide preventions for our early detections.
digital citizenship panel discussion
We were delighted to host a panel discussion on “Creating a Holistic Culture of Digital Citizenship” last Wednesday at the TCEA convention. Our CEO Richard Fuller, alongside some other guest speakers including Digital Citizenship Institute CEO Marialice B.F.X. Curran and Dr. Mike Ribble, the Digital Citizenship Institute’s Chief Academic Officer, discussed how to combine digital citizenship, technology software, and best practices to create a holistic culture of digital citizenship in schools. If you missed out on our session, you can download our whitepaper here.
showcase of our latest features
During the show, we showcased the latest version 6.3 of our flagship product, Impero Education Pro. V6.3 provides improved cloud functionality by offering a hybrid-cloud model designed to give our customers the best of both worlds depending on their preferences and requirements. We had fantastic feedback from visitors who previewed these latest features!
Not only did we get time to familiarize ourselves with Austin and our new office location (watch this space), we were also invited to a partner party with Software House International (SHI) who had kindly invited us as key partners to network with them.
winners of TCEA’s Best of Show Award
We were delighted to find out just after the show that Impero had been announced as Winners’s of TCEA’s Best of Show Awards for our latest update to Impero Education Pro, version 6.3. Find out why we won here!
Overall, it was a great week at the TCEA convention! We enjoyed socialising with existing customers and partners, alongside many new prospects who all showed great love for our products and latest features. We also got to meet our new Austin team mates for dinner and they accompanied us at the show to get a clear overview of the product, the stand and the TCEA convention in general. The week raced past, but in that time we were also able to sample some of the excellent food and we even got the recipe for the exceptional ‘Rejuvinate’ breakfast smoothies from the hotel that we all particularly enjoyed!
Until next year!
