Impero acquires Safeguarding Monitor, enhancing its product portfolio
Nottingham, UK – 21st September 2018 – Impero is delighted to announce the acquisition of Safeguarding Monitor, a developer of applications to help schools, colleges and multi-academy trusts to meet their safeguarding responsibilities.
This exciting move adds Safeguarding Monitor’s auditing of school safeguarding practices, and tracking of all safeguarding incidents relating to students, to Impero’s flagship device monitoring and management solution, Impero Education Pro. With full integration between the two solutions, this marks a UK first in providing seamless incident recording for both online and offline concerns.
Richard Fuller, CEO of Impero says, “We are passionate about student safeguarding and are keen to address this gap between the online and offline world to give schools a more complete understanding of the context of ‘at risk’ behaviours. The integration between Impero Education Pro and Safeguarding Monitor enables intelligent risk assessment, giving schools a multifaceted overview of a student’s wellbeing in a single interface. Safeguarding incidents, whether they occur online or offline, should be handled via the same processes and triage mechanisms. The acquisition of Safeguarding Monitor allows us to provide our customers with a seamless auditing and incident handling tool that will help minimise risk and enhance student safety.”
James Inman, Managing Director of Safeguarding Monitor adds, “We are delighted to be working alongside Impero, who are market leaders in the online safety space. The combination of our two products provides the market with a truly comprehensive safeguarding solution. We already have some revolutionary ideas for how our product roadmaps will align and evolve in a way that really transforms the safeguarding landscape. It is clear to us from working with Impero that they share our passion for keeping children safe, by creating next-generation software to improve safeguarding in schools. The Safeguarding Monitor team are excited to continue our product’s evolution as part of Impero.”
Impero’s product team carried out an extensive research project to review and evaluate incident tracking solutions in the education safeguarding space. Safeguarding Monitor offered the most comprehensive feature set and was deemed the best fit for integration with Impero’s product suite. Already working with a large number of primary and secondary schools in the UK, as well as some large Multi-Academy Trusts, Impero was impressed by the feedback received from Safeguarding Monitor’s customer base that were enthusiastic advocates for the product.
“Speaking with both Impero and Safeguarding Monitor customers we know there is demand for integration between both our product offerings. Listening to the enthusiasm from James and his team it is clear that they share the same values and passion that we encourage here at Impero and we’re excited about the things we can achieve together moving forwards” Fuller adds.
Impero will be showcasing this latest addition to its product portfolio at Bett 2019.
