the first to respond to the changing online safety landscape
Our online safety feature has been developed in partnership with charities and specialist organisations from across the globe, including the internationally-recognised IWF and SafeBAE, a charity founded by sexual assault survivors who appeared in the NETFLIX documentary Audrie & Daisy. This is why Impero is trusted by schools, MATs and local authorities across the UK to fulfil safeguarding requirements and, ultimately, protect their students online. Fully integrated into the broader Impero Education Pro package, our intuitive and expertly informed online safety feature works seamlessly alongside the software’s network admin and classroom control tools.
our best practice approach
Impero Education Pro is built around a best practice approach to safeguarding in schools, in line with Ofsted and ISI’s ‘managed approach’ to online safety.
First we research safeguarding issues (from adult content, counter-radicalisation, LGBT derogatory language to grooming, race and religious hatred, sexting, suicide and more), by working with our online safety partners, to inform our keyword libraries; then Impero Education Pro’s online safety feature monitors, captures and logs instances of safeguarding risk to provide the context. School staff are alerted to this flagged activity and are empowered to discuss safeguarding concerns, offer counter narratives an intervene before an incident escalates. This enables schools to safeguard students by educating them to understand the risks and how to behave responsibly online.
