The Tomorrow Project Suicide Prevention

The Tomorrow Project- confidential suicide prevention

18th April 2018

Last year, we partnered with Harmless  – a user led organisation that provides a range of services about self harm and suicide prevention to help develop our keyword detection libraries available as part of our flagship product, Impero Education Pro. In this guest blog, Harmless introduces one of their incredible support services, The Tomorrow Project. But before you read on, make sure to vote for them in The People’s Projects, where they are in for a chance to receive a grant of nearly £50,000 to help them get that little bit further in their suicide prevention initiatives, therapeutic support and early intervention.

The Tomorrow Project

The Tomorrow Project is a confidential suicide prevention project based in Nottingham, offering an innovative service that provides support to those in suicide crisis and those that have been bereaved by suicide.

It was set up in response to a number of completed suicides in and around the community of East Leake, and shares a vision that no one should have to feel so alone that they feel they have nowhere to turn for support.

We provide free therapeutic support, as well as other non-clinical and practical interventions, such representing your needs with other services, or helping secure financial or housing help.  We meet people on a 1:1 basis, as well as in our catch up cafés where people come together to have a cup of tea, socialise and support each other.

We not only support those in distress, we support anyone that may be affected by suicide. No matter how big or small you think your problems may be, it’s ok to ask for help.

For information or to access the crisis pathway, please call 0115 880 0282, leave a name and number and a member of the team will get back to you within 1 working day. Or you can email [email protected]
