The remote working Impero team continues to grow
16th April 2020
Remote working at Impero
Here at Impero, other than a slight change of location from the office to our own home-based remote working stations, nothing has changed! We have all the processes and infrastructure in place to ensure our high standards of customer care and support can continue, no matter what happens during this unprecedented time. We are built for these capabilities and strive to continue to help schools deliver a successful remote, safe and secure school scenario and provide students with continued access to education.
This also mean we’re able to continue our recruitment drive and onboard bright, enthusiastic professionals, with a passion for both education and technology, to join our ever-expanding business. It’s important what with our new direction we have all the skills needed to succeed.
9 new employees onboarded remotely
Since closing our office doors over 4 weeks ago, we’re been extremely positive with the success of the teams shift over to remote working and how they’ve adapted to this new challenge. During this time we’ve welcomed 9 new members to the Impero team!
We’ve reached out (remotely of course!) to a few of these new starters, to gain an insight into how they found the remote onboarding process. It’s great to hear that they are all settling so well into their new roles, despite the circumstances.
“Well no one saw this coming! Starting a global role from your front room is obviously not ideal, but I have been so impressed by the culture of Impero; which is to adapt, move and focus on the customer. My role objectives are long term and Impero are investing in that rather than the next 6 weeks.”
– Adrian McDonald, Global Channel Manager
“I found the onboarding process really easy! My team are friendly and helpful, which is great. I must say, it’s not the induction that I was expecting and as anticipated, I did have a few teething problems with equipment, but other than it’s been a very positive and productive first 2 weeks in the remote working role!”
– Erica Wilkinson, UK Territory Manager
“I’ve settled into things well; I think that’s down to all of the technology at our disposal and how we utilise it. It doesn’t really feel like I’m distanced from the team and those I’m working with as I see them frequently on our team calls and they are just a click of a button away. Plus, the commute is a breeze!”
– Charlotte Rowatt, Finance Manager
“Although challenging at times, it’s been really encouraging seeing how active we are still as a business, and by utilising various technologies I have still been able to hit the ground running.”
– Dan Bruckshaw, IT & Systems Manager
