Nottingham-built computer program used in US schools
14th September 2011
Impero’s flagship product for education is being used in US schools to ‘clamp down’ on gang activity. The classroom management software solution has sold to more than 1,500 schools and colleges in the US, helping to control internet access and identifying when certain terms are typed anywhere on a school’s network.
The classroom management software was developed inside the classroom, while founder Jonathan Valentine observed the distractions offered up from the online world while working as an IT Consultant in schools. In direct response to this, the classroom management software was sold across East Midland schools and the solution was launched in the US in 2008.
