ad hoc backup

Please bear in mind this is not a replacement for your own backup solution, or a resolution to the database issue.

how to create an ad hoc backup of your Impero files

Please run the following script on the Impero server itself.  This script will save a local copy of all your pertinent Impero logs to the following location C:\Impero Log Backup\.  If these files are to be relocated please keep in mind not to contravene any local policies.

  1. Download the following script to the Impero server
  2. Change the extension from specialbackupRev1.txt to specialbackupRev1.ps1
  3. Right mouse click on specialbackup.ps1 and select “Run with PowerShell”
    1. It will first check the size of the files to be backed up
    2. It will also check the amount of free space on the c: drive
    3. Perform the backup
    4. Once it has finished the PowerShell window will close

The script assumes the default location have been used for both the Impero server application and logs.
